My experience is that many companies underestimate this and do not realize they can achieve great benefits by managing their inventory better.

But having inventory is also a necessary thing to respond to market demand. Furthermore, in order to provide a high level of service, you want to keep a certain minimum stock. The bottom line when it comes to spare parts management is to provide the right level of customer service.
