IT Engineer

The IT team plays an important role in keeping our internal environment reliable and secure, and also supports customer environments and technical projects.

We are looking for

Dysel is looking for a motivated and proactive IT Engineer who wants to work in a broad technical role covering Microsoft cloud services, infrastructure, support, cybersecurity, automation, Business Central, and modern AI tooling.

The position can also be suitable for a junior IT professional; in that case, Dysel offers training opportunities and support to grow into the role.

We are looking for someone who is technically curious, service-oriented, and eager to learn. You don't need to know everything yet, but you enjoy learning, asking questions, and taking responsibility for your work.

Your role as an IT Engineer

In this role, you will be involved in 2nd and 3rd line support, incident management, customer support, and technical improvement projects. You will help maintain Dysel's internal Microsoft environment and support customers with their IT infrastructure, SaaS environments, and cloud solutions.

Within our compact team, you will work closely with colleagues from across the organization, including consultants, developers, support colleagues, and management.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, learning new technologies, and collaborating closely with colleagues and clients to improve secure, reliable, and modern IT environments. We value someone who takes initiative, identifies risks or improvements early on, and actively contributes to stronger cybersecurity in both internal and client environments.

Main responsibilities

2nd and 3rd line support

  • Register, analyze, and resolve technical incidents for internal users and customers.
  • Providing practical support for IT-related issues, including troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and advice on improvements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and customers to prevent recurring issues and improve the quality of IT services.
  • Clearly document incidents, solutions, and technical changes.

Management of the Dysel Microsoft Environment

  • Assist in managing the Dysel Microsoft environment, including Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Support in user and account management, access control, security settings, and permissions.
  • Assisting with compliance-related configuration and monitoring.
  • Help with managing identities, groups, roles, and authentication policies.
  • Contribute to a safe and well-structured Microsoft environment for Dysel and its users.

Infrastructure and cybersecurity management

  • Assist in managing and maintaining Dysel’s infrastructure, including environments, cybersecurity measures, networks, and cloud services.
  • Supporting projects in cloud migration, cybersecurity, automation, and infrastructure modernization.
  • Proactively identify cybersecurity risks, recommend practical measures, and follow up on improvements.
  • Monitoring and improving the reliability, availability, and performance of IT environments.

Business Central on-premises installations

  • Supporting installations and technical configuration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for on-premises clients.
  • Assist with the installation and configuration of Business Central extensions.
  • Utilize SQL knowledge to support database-related configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.
  • Using PowerShell to support installation, configuration, automation, and maintenance tasks.
  • Help resolve installation, upgrade, and environment-related issues.
  • Work with consultants, developers, and customers to ensure Business Central environments are stable and well-maintained.

Support for customer SaaS environments

  • Assisting clients in managing and maintaining their SaaS environments.
  • Support with configuration, access control, availability, and performance monitoring.
  • Helping clients understand their cloud and SaaS setup and advising on practical improvements.
  • Contributing to better governance, security, and operational control within client environments.

Application, database, and cloud monitoring

  • Monitoring the availability and performance of applications, databases, and cloud environments.
  • Working with telemetry, alerts, and logging to signal problems early.
  • Supporting improvements in observability, reliability, and operational continuity.

DevOps and pipelines

  • Support in managing DevOps environments, including teams, projects, and permissions.
  • Help with setting up and maintaining Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Working with YAML pipeline files for build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Assisting with the improvement of release processes, automation, and deployment reliability.
  • Collaborate with developers and consultants to keep delivery workflows secure, consistent, and maintainable.

AI and agents

  • Explore and support the use of AI tools and agents in internal and customer-facing processes.
  • Help identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks or improve support workflows with AI.
  • Contributing to experiments with AI-assisted documentation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and knowledge management.
  • Stay curious about developments in AI, Microsoft Copilot, agents, and automation technologies.

What you bring

Experience with all topics is not required. Knowledge of or interest in the following areas is a plus:

Working conditions and growth

  • Location: Hengelo.
  • Working hours: 32 to 40 hours per week.
  • Office days: Wednesday and Friday are office days.
  • Start date: immediately or upon consultation.
  • A salary that matches your experience and job level. For a full-time position in the Dutch market, the range is approximately between EUR 2,800 and EUR 4,500 gross per month.
  • For an entry-level profile, a normal starting range is approximately between EUR 2,800 and EUR 3,400 gross per month, depending on education, technical background, and relevant experience.
  • A laptop and phone will be provided.
  • Training budget and support for certifications, for example in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, Business Central, DevOps, PowerShell, SQL, or AI-related technologies.
  • Mentorship from experienced colleagues, with room to gradually take on more responsibility.
  • Growth opportunities towards roles such as Microsoft cloud administrator, Business Central technical specialist, DevOps engineer, infrastructure and security specialist, or AI and automation specialist.
  • Working on both internal IT and customer-facing technical environments, allowing you to gain broad practical experience.
