After months of hard work, your company is finally live with its new business software. The work is done, right? Unfortunately, that's what many organizations think. While the opposite is true; the go-live is just the beginning!
There are even more opportunities!
At the time you go live with your business software, you will not yet utilize all the features of the system. And you don't have to. When implementing a system with a major impact on the organization, it is wise to choose only functionality that you actually need at go-live. This keeps the implementation manageable and increases your chances of a successful go-live. After that, you can start using new features of the software in phases and get the most out of your investment.
Optimization pathways
After the go-live, sitting back is not wise. I recommend continuing to take a critical look at your business processes and how they are supported by the software just then. Which processes could be more efficient? Where can automation be even more valuable? Which wishes or nice-to-haves can I fulfill with the software? By continuously asking yourself these questions, you will continue to make improvements as an organization.
A software partner who thinks with you
You cannot get maximum return from business software on your own. You need a software specialist who knows your organization, thinks with you and offers solutions that contribute to achieving your goals. Not a supplier, but a partner. As a service manager, I am the first point of contact for our customers with all their issues regarding the optimal use of business software. This goes beyond fixing bugs and adding a field or table. I think strategically with the customer and proactively advise them how they can use our software to achieve their growth objectives.
